Maybe the most successful lens design ever, the Cooke Speed Panchro has been making unforgettable images in Hollywood and everywhere—for almost 100 years! The Cooke Look, which flatters the human face more than any lens, has been oft-copied, but nothing comes close.

The thorium coatings on the S1/S2/S3 Panchros give these vintage lenses a quality that the newer offerings from Cooke just can’t quite replicate. The TLS housings which have become synonymous with vintage Panchros ironically came from Cooke S4 designs.
